It’s hard to believe Neal Boortz won’t be around any more, and I wish him a wonderful and long retirement.
But before us conservatives get weepy over Boortz’s leaving, let’s remember that he often reminded us that he was a”libertarian”, nor a conservative. And that he saw himnself as an entertainer, not a political commentator. As a conservative, I agree with Boortz maybe 20% of the time, and in many respects he was quite liberal.
During the 2008 Presidential Primaries, Neal Boortz rarely criticized Barack Obama, whom his sister had taught in Hawaii, but he mercilessly attacked Hillary Clinton and was gleeful at each of her primary defeats. Only Rush Limbaugh apparently sawHillary as the lesser of two Democratic evils. My thought at the time was, how dumb can Boortz be? Could anyone with eyes and ears fail to see Barack Obama as a radical leftist?”
