Maybe, but if it is closer, it will be a different map. Zero has consistently pilled +6 in Virginia, no matter how poorly he has done overall. Black candidates have historically done well here, including electing the first black governor in the US Doug Wilder, when the state was much more conservative overall. Romney may well win in a landslide, butWisconsin, Iowa, and perhaps even Michigan will fall before Virginia.

Virginia will not go for the O. They did last time but he is losing independents by 15-20% depending on the poll this year. There is nothing on the economy that will improve between now and November. Romney is well vetted and as long as he doesn’t blow bubbles with his drool, he should win. Now, I don’t think Romney is a great conservative, but as long as he doesn’t veto what the House and Senate do on the budget we should be okay. He will appoint conservative justices, otherwise he will be a one term president.
