Senator John Cornyn, (R-TX) called on Attorney General Eric Holder to resign during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing today in Washington. CORNYN: Youve violated the public trust in my view by failing to perform the duties of your office. So, Mr. Attorney General it is with more sorrow than with regret and anger that I would say you leave me with no alternative but to join those who call on you to resign your office
HOLDER: Senator, with all due respect there is so much wrong with the premises that you started your statement with its almost breathtaking in its inaccuracy
The desire here is not for an accommodation but for political point-making and that is the kind of thing that you and your side have the ability to do if thats what you want to do, but its that what turns people off about Washington, while we have serious problems were still involved with this political gamesmanship

This Texas voter is looking forward to voting against Cornyn in the GOP primary when he is up for reelection. He has stabbed us in the back too many times as one of the leaders of the NRSC (National Republican Senatorial Committee).
“And the web form that REJECTS email from zipcodes out of their district.”
That’s why the ZIP Code Directory is your friend. I use my name and street address and then pick a town and ZIP Code in the guy’s district. Works every time! Even get replies. Best one yet, I told a Texas Congressman that I lived in Swollen Groin, TX! (Jackie Gleason is probably rolling in his grave!)
If the congress does not do it's job and impeach Holder, then they should resign.
It is now too late to "negotiate" with Holder on what he will allow them to see. Congress either has the authority to the information on a timely basis or it does not. which is it?
“I see that Holder had his talking point all ready to go, turning the blame on the republicans.”
Yes he did didn’t he. That’s exactly what I noticed in the article as well. Holder didn’t skip a beat. He started right in with a well practiced response knowing the inevitable that he faced.
Good for Cornyn. Let’s hope more step up, and get in Holder’s face as well.
Thanks for that link. Just put it up on my Twitter feed.
Holder: Make me, Senator.
“He has stabbed us in the back too many times as one of the leaders of the NRSC (National Republican Senatorial Committee).”
Do the name ‘murkowski’ ring a bell?
Find the address and zip of their district office.
Then use mapquest.com to pull up a street map and invent an address on a nearby street.
Keep a file copy for future reference.
Nancy give me the same non-responsive answers she gives her SF buddies, and I live in Colorado.
As an accessory to murder, before and after the fact. Throw the whole ATF in their as well.
Attorney General Withholder is toast...provided Congress does not wimp out on the contempt vote.
And a keg of beer to wash the popcorn down.
That hit him square in the nads!!!
The attorney general is nominated by the President of the United States and takes office after confirmation by the United States Senate. He or she serves at the pleasure of the president and can be removed by the president at any time; the attorney general is also subject to impeachment by the House of Representatives and trial in the Senate for “treason, bribery, and other high crimes and misdemeanors.”
Here's what you can expect from the Republicans when it comes to crunch time...
Cornyn might be growing a pair since Ted Cruz is coming to town soon.
Or the famous idiotic quote from Turn Coat Arlen Specter “Not Proven”.
“Buy that man a barrel of popcorn!”
Hell, I’ll buy him a bottle of Wild Turkey American Honey.
Cause what he said was soooooooo sweeeeet. LOL
Based on Cornyn’s history I would suspect that the major reason he is finally becoming involved is because he is up for re-election in 2014. He is a RINO to the core and, in addition to Dewhurst who is running for the Senate this year, just one of many politicians responsible for our having a wide open border between Texas and Mexico.
We have many good strong conservatives in Texas. Hopefully you will have someone other than Cornyn for whom to vote.
Cornyn is right far more than he is wrong or too willing to compromise.
“I dont want Holder to resign, I want holder charged, tried, convicted, and put in Jail.”
And then, turned over to the Mexican Government for proper ‘Justice”.
That is a disappointment! Hopefully, some other congressmen and senators will “grow some” and get rid of that horrible Holder! I’m still looking forward to voting (and living) in Texas!
