Assuming that you have a Windows machine, download Windows Defender from Microsoft. It’s an off line virus/malware scanner based on Microsoft Security Essentials. You burn it to a CD then boot from it. This has worked well for me.

Did that, was told there was a conflict with Vista (HP).

It shut down the system cold, after it said Windows Defender will do you no good. This is a new one on me. Did MalwareBytes and a couple others. Got rid of it, last night it pops up again with a chat window, asking about having sex.

What if my youngest would’ve been on the computer?

I wish I could track the _______ .

What AMiller said. You can also download ESET NOD 32 for Windows machines. It has been very thorough for me.
