You are exactly right.

If the Democratic administration is guilty of intentionally leaking security for political reasons then the Republican opposition is equally guilty of not aggressively rooting out the corruption. If lives are put on the line due to this breach, then no one is without guilt.

In think each party has so much crap on the other they are stuck in a M.A.D scenario. Each pushes the edge enough to make it look good, but they’ll never do the right thing because there aren’t enough reason beds to hold all the people who’d be involved.

And the BS we live in today is the result. I’m sorry. There is no excuse that not one of these idiots can get serious and do their job. But none will out of fear that their laundry will be exposed and their own bacon will get fried.

Short of aliens destroying the planet, I can think of no other excuse for the footdragging and game playing.

The GOP will never become aggressive as long as the MSM keeps covering for the democrats

The MSM decides what is and what is not news

Until the GOP gets on message and STAYS there every time they are interviewed etc etc nothing will happen
