I don’t think gose does humor, but this thread has raised some interesting possibilities.

Maybe Romney should choose Rubio.

They bring a knife, he brings a gun.

They try the ineligible thing on him ... he points out the ineligible thing on Obama (much more damning).

They try the foreclosure thing on him ... he brings out the plight of the honest citizen somehow incurring financial difficulties (identifying strongly with the electorate) and contrasts it with a crooked politician in chicago who always has cronies to help him out of a financial jam.

It might be fun.

I like the way you think. Nothing educates like contrasts.

Even if Rubio had been born in Cuba, he’s more of an American than the likes of anyone in Netroots. Sad to say, newly arrived LEGAL immigrants appreciate and value this country more than most who are born here. I know that’s not a constitutional argument. Just sayin.

Rubio Jindal or Ryan - would be hard for me to get excited about anyone else as VP choice. And Sarah of course, but not in the cards. How about Todd Palin?

“Maybe Romney should choose Rubio.”

I’m on the side of following the Constitution, not establishing precidents of attempting to go around it. That may be too smart by half.... Best is still having Rubio declare both his and Obama’s ineligibility. Seriously I have doubts that Rubio intends to put his hat in the ring now or ever. He’s a lawyer, knows Article II, and, unlike the Libs/donks values the Constitution as written and intended.
