Russia's Sukhoi Superjet-100 crashed in Indonesia because of a whole complex of reasons... the Terrain Awareness and Warning System .. prompted the extension of the landing gear.

Wow! I just watched Numb3rs about a drone that uses radiation to create a channel for a plasma cannon. Must be art imitating life, no?       ;^)
