Unfortunately Global Warming and the Ozone Hole proved that government conspiracies involving thousands can be very successful. We also have the coverup of the WMD’s found in Iraq. Have no idea about this report though. Would assume that most sailors on board a Carrier live and work below deck. They would have just heard an explosion and some sirens. Perhaps some sailors heard something and a false rumor about an attack was started below deck.
