I agree. I bought one some time ago when I was logging and tried to use it to trim my loads. After about a half hour of pulling on the G dammed thing I used it for a hammer and that was the end of that.

I went back and bought another Johnsered.

Yup. I bought the Poulan on sale. Was a great deal, but then didn’t use it right away. It sat in the box past warranty, and then when I needed it like yourself couldn’t get the danged thing to start. Took it to a repair shop locally, and had the carburater serviced. It would start after that, but wouldn’t continue running. Rather than put another nickel into that piece of junk, I bought an ECHO, and have been sawing away ever since.

I noted the model Poulan I had on sale at giveaway prices at a major tool store for awhile, but then they disappeared.
