The Obama administration has been widely criticized for its increased reliance on drone strikes to kill suspected terrorists in Pakistan and Afghanistan, but according to published reports, a plan is now in the works to harness tiny drones to spy on U.S. citizens. A 30-page memorandum issued by President Barack Obamas Secretary of the Air Force Michael Donley on April 23 has stated that the drones, some as small as golf balls, may be used domestically to collect information about U.S. persons. The photos that the drones will take may be retained, used or even distributed to other branches of the government so long as the recipient is reasonably perceived to have a specific, lawful governmental function in asking for them.

Can you shoot something with the agility of a dragonfly ?<<
as a kid with a BB gun I could....their mistake was to hover
You know what this means, eh?
Small caliber target practice. Varmint guns are in.
New National Pastime sport for Americans.
Drone hunting...........
That is, of course, unless he is on airforce one...
Anybody still believe were going to get out of this alive
If not drones we still have death panels
Creeped out, but not at all surprised. The CIA revealed a few years back that in the 1970s, they developed a mechanical dragonfly that could carry a listening device. It was only a prototype, but it could be done, and technology has come a long way since the 1970s. Drones will continue to become more capable and less expensive to produce as technology advances, meaning there will be more and more of them. I don’t like the thought of that, but it seems inevitable.
I also think it may not be too long before someone figures out a way to make a tiny drone that is capable of doing more than just surveillance - i.e. armed miniature drones. Maybe not golf ball-sized ones, but I can see a somewhat larger device being equipped with the ability to fire a rifle bullet or the like in the next few years.
Exactly. The odds against his drive making it past the ladies` tee are 10-1.
The miniature drone will simply "paint the target." The Hellfire missile will come from somewhere else.

Me, too. Thanks for the memories.
This is what the people of America need for keeping up on the Government.

Has the issue of private airspace been fully decided? I’m aware that I don’t control the airspace 1000’ above my land, but surely I have exclusionary authority up to 10’.
Dust off the skeet gun - it's like riding a bicycle; one or two shots and you'll be back in the groove.
