Pro-Science to Abort Children with Defects? It's already gotten to the stage that gender is a defect. We have routine abortion in the U.S. for sex-selection. The Chinese are routinely aborting second children - those who manage to make it to live birth are ripped from their parents and slaughtered with no more compunction than one would show a rodent.
I am the father of a child who some would say is "defective." He is a child of God. I would not unmake him though it would spare me, my wife, and his brothers and sisters much disappointment, embarrassment and anguish.
I'll take the hits, whatever they may be - the "quality of life" does not depend upon the circumstances into which one is thrust - it's not a question of whether one's faculties are impaired or not - it is rather the quality that one brings to those circumstances.
My son Daniel, who is autistic, has just turned twenty-one and graduated from Kennedy Krieger High School in Baltimore, Maryland.
When he was four, they told us he was retarded. When he was seven, they told us he was severely emotionally disturbed. When he was nine, we took the County to Administrative Hearing to get him out of the County Schools and into private placement.
We prevailed in that battle and he was placed in Kennedy Krieger. Now, he is preparing to enter the workforce and become a productive member of Society. I wonder what Dr. Snyderman would make of that!
What we see around us today is where Liberalism, secularism and feminism have brought us as a society. Look for retribution on an Old Testament scale to the flagrant and widespread evil of our day!
Nos genuflectitur ad non princeps sed Princeps Pacem!
Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

I have 4 kids. One has Asperger’s and one has developmental delays. They are wonderful people and my life has been so wonderful getting to parent them.
