President Obama has shot back against accusations that White House officials leaked high-level national security information to the New York Times, calling the charges "offensive" and "wrong."
"The notion that my White House would purposely release classified national security information is offensive. It's wrong," he said during a press conference this morning. "People I think need to have a better sense of how I approach this office and how the people around me approach this office."
The President's remarks follow accusations made earlier this week by Sen. John McCain and other Senate Republicans that the White House had leaked information about U.S. drones and cyberattack technology to "paint a portrait of the president of the United States as a strong leader on national security issues."
The FBI has launched an investigation into the sources of the leaks, and on Thursday a bipartisan group of lawmakers in both the House and Senate have called for an independent investigation into the matter.
The President said he would not comment on "what are supposed to be classified items," noting that the information involved was "sensitive", but he did suggest that the White House was looking into the matter.
"Whenever there is classified information that is put out into the public, we try to find out where that came from," he said.
Obama also rebutted the notion that the Times reports were somehow beneficial to him.
"When this information or these reports -- whether true or false -- surface, on front page newspapers, that makes the job of folks on the front lines tougher, and it makes my job tougher," he said. "Which is why, since I've been office, my attitude has been zero tolerance for these kinds of leaks and speculation."

Predictable liberal/commie reaction, when they are caught in the wrong.

“The lady doth protest too much, methinks.”
Lying bitch.
HIS White House? Arrogant POS!!!
The arrogant and self righteous are always appalled at accusations of wrongdoing on their part.
Never more so than when the accusations are true.
I have heard the best defense is a good offense, but Obama’s offense falls flat on me.
He knows where the leaks came from he made them.
We all know how Obama approach’s his office. He approach’s it as something to be used to quell his bitterness about being born.He uses it for vacations and living like a king while he hypocritically attacks anyone who has actually earned a right to be treated well.
Obama is offensive, the democrat party is offensive, democrats who claim to be patriotic supporters of the Constitution are offensive (that would be every democrat).
A cockroach infestation or a steaming turd is not as offensive as all of the above.
FUBO & FAD
“”The notion that my White House would purposely release classified national security information is offensive. It’s wrong,” he said during a press conference this morning. “People I think need to have a better sense of how I approach this office and how the people around me approach this office.””
So they accidently leaked the information? Fair enough. Who did it, because they need to be tried and punished for it.
The Mole seems “doth protest too much.”
So he finds himself ‘offensive’ huh.
The WH is looking into it. Oh that is a relief. /s
The first rule of politics: never believe anything until it's been officially denied.
The WH is the source of the leaks and, yes, zombies are real.
“People I think need to have a better sense of how I approach this office and how the people around me approach this office.” That is just it Zero, people do know how you approach the office and that is why this accusation is being made.
Round em all up from the white house and hang em?
