I Have a bunch of questions on this one. Where did the “couple” get the license, Georgia doesn’t and won’t recognize “gay” marriage, it is in the state Constitution. What did the marriage signify since the couple isn’t open to military benefits. I thought the military had to follow state law unless there was a more stringent military law, ie convoys, often convoys travel slower per policy and regulation than state high way laws but they can not exceed the posted speed limit!

This wasn't Georgia, it was Louisiana, per the article. And they didn't have a license. Louisiana has a constitutional marriage amendment as well that prohibits homosexual "marriage" or "civil unions." The article said it was a "commitment ceremony."

It was more of a protest setup, as activist homosexuals are wont to do. Even though it was not official, don't think that that will stop them from demanding full benefits and recognition from the government. They will push, against all their fake assurances, until they get what they want - and more.
