Democrats appeared to have assumed control of the state Senate with results posted early Wednesday showing former Sen. John Lehman (D-Racine) in a tight race defeating incumbent Van Wanggard, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting...

Kudos to Scott Walker for an impressive victory, but this could spell trouble for him. Democrats, (with a soon-to-be ever-present MSM at the WI state capitol), will put up symbolic votes that will basically ram home statement after statement and/or question after question asking Walker if he will come back to the table with Dems over collecting bargaining rights and whether or not he ran on doing away with collecting bargaining rights - and if not, why he went ahead and pushed for them anyway. This is going to get nasty, yet will be incredibly interesting, as Lehman's 779 vote victory is probably enough that it won't be undone with a recount.

They can vote free skittle-crapping unicorns for everyone if the want. The House doesn’t have to take up any of it; it gets the “mokusatsu” treatment.
Answer: Nuts!
Let the people of WI watch and learn. And learn what the extortionist unions have done, and continue to do, to American industry (or what is left of it...).
Sorry. Precious little sleep last night watching one cable news show after another. This link works...

He's always turned trouble into opportunity. No reason he'll change tactic now.
Time to demand a recall election based upon voter fraud.
I hope the WI GOP has their attorneys all over that Racine office today and can prove the fraud. I hope they were smart enough to take pictures of the MI and IL busses that came in.
The returns came in very slow for that district. The slower they come in, relative to the other parts of the state, the more suspicious. How many same day registrations? If I were the head Dem and knew the race wasn’t polling well statewide and knew one seat would change the majority in the Senate I would throw extra weight in the closest district. I bet there is cheating.
I don’t think you get the ramifications of this.
1.) They will be repeatedely asking inquiries (from the Senate floor) into supposed robo calls made by Republicans that supposedly said that those who signed the recall petition did not have to go and vote in the recall.
2.) They will bash Walker’s poll numbers down by fulminating from the Senate floor, which they were not able to do before, asking why he went ahead with doing away with collecting bargaining rights and asking him to prove just when he verbally said that he was running on this.
It is going to be messy...
If they try to reconvene the GOP senators should leave for Indiana..../sarc
Problem is, is that Dems will set out to make Walker look as if he ran on one thing, but went for another thing once he and the GOP took power, attempting to make him look like an uber liar. And an ever-presnt fawning media at the state capitol will eat it up and will help Dems them with this.
No, you’re buying into the media spin. The Democrats in the state Senate cannot over turn the union collective bargaining changes on their own.
Just relax for a bit and move on to getting rid of Obama. Think of what a huge loss this was for Obama. Obama and the Democrats thought that they were on their way to creating a built in permanent voting block in the SEIU, but if the SEIU has no power to negotiate benefits (like contraception and abortion coverage), the SEIU will be impotent and Obama, along with them.
Rep senators just need to RE-Fleebag ‘em..dont show up
this result is very fishy. results were incredibly slow in this county relative to the whole state and seemingly do not correlate the walker/barrett totals. it may be that they staked out this county to steal a razor thin election, knowing that this senate seat was their best bet.
i hope walker is on this. he needs the senate.
I don’t know if the media outlets were lying, but some of the calls were returned and supposedly went to Republicansw filed offices.
Numbers can be traced and I hope that the state GOP wasn’t dumb enough to try this. This is the last thing that they and the GOP need. /shakes head... Just when things were going good... Sigh.
The senate can only be in session as permitted by law.
By law they can’t go into session until January 2013, after the fall election when half of them will have to run to keep their office.

Fraud on its face. Someone on the big live thread yesterday said that Racine would be the bus-in target, and they were right.
I’m buying into the media spin?
Nope, you are just creating spin as I never said that Dems in the State senate can overturn collecting bargaining rights.
As I posted up above, Senate Dems CANNOT legislate even though they can reconvener early. as I said, Nat. Review reported on this.
All they can do is symbolically fulminate.
