A union member does not a PUBLIC union member make, nor does a union necessarily mean the UAW or Teamsters.
Aside from GM and Chrysler—one union (public) will always take your tax money and raise it whenever they want a raise, but the other will only take your money when you make a purchase. You can choose whether or not you make the purchase.
