I expect we will see some Governors start to reduce unions advantages. One thing is certain had Walker lost, no governor would take on the unions.
Is there a pool on when the obligatory, “Well, Wisconsin is different and you can’t put much stock in any results from a state like that,” will be uttered and repeated by Carney and the low-ratings end of the media wing?
I think you’re right. The public-sector union bosses seemed to have had an “all-or-nothing” attitude up to this point with their unwillingness to compromise when it came to financial concessions with governments that were facing shortfalls. It’ll be interesting to see if that tactic continues.
Namely, the majority of voters have had enough of big government spending on lazy government workers of all kinds.
I'm liking it. If they won't believe they screwed up, then they don't have any reason to change and they'll make the same mistakes all over again come November.
Turnout can change a margin from one election to another. If you have people who didn’t get to the polls in one election but share your values and they turnout in the second, just by that you have increased your margin.
The turnout statewide by Walker supporters was reportedly GREAT.
It would have to be, because I heard that pro union cities also had increased turnout. Our turnout beat theirs, though.
This provided a margin that was too large for the cheaters to cheat without getting caught.
Wisconsin is a battleground. It is very divided, very polarized. It can truly be called a purple state, not a reliably blue or red state.
Hear! Hear!
Sarah Palin, she had to resign and then they called her a quitter. Then they FOIA'ed all of her emails, employed citizen Joe to help find dirt and then... crickets!!
They’re bullies.
There is no compromise.
A caller to Rush yesterday said, “Beat them, ignore them and move on.”
It is the only way.
Chuckle.
Good Michelle reference.
Walker's win was the beginning you speak of... explains the crying and death threats...
