No one in this state has paid any attention to the presidential race or the US Senate race.
If Ryan is the VP nominee, Wisconsin goes for Romney/Ryan. The real problem is that the rank and file GOP voter in Wisconsin isn’t all that excited about Romney. Imagine that.

It will also be interesting to see the college age vote analysis for the recall election. Graduation was over so the college kids were home and difficult to organize. The youth vote may not have turned out in this recall election. In November, school will be in session and the organizers will be out in force driving them to the polls. The question is will they vote for the ideology of their professors again or will they look at their future prospects and vote against the incumbent?
A clear-eyed look at this result might well suggest that Wisconsinites who have now voted twice in two years to elect an unabashed conservative as their governor are not thrilled with the weakest Republican Presidential candidate since Alf Landon.
Despite Romney's running against the worst President in American history, it could very well be that Wisconsinites like their Republicans to actually be conservative.
