Oh please give me a break!

“Spielman says their family had no idea wearing a Disney costume would turn their dream into such a nightmare.”

The article clearly states she is a Tampa Bay resident. It's not a secret that Disney characters are paid employees, and heavily screened. She obviously does not look like a “child” in that costume.

At their age, wearing a character costume at an Orlando theme park makes as much sence as dressing like doctors and walking the halls of a hospital.

Cute costumes, wrong venue.

Well, little kids wear costumes into the park all the time and it’s no big deal. But I don’t want some Ted Bundy or child molester pretending to be a character who only wants to get close to kids or grab one wearing their own costumes in.

I was crying so hard," Spielman said. "It like, really hurt me because just looking around and people were walking around and they were all dressed up and I'm just standing there like crying.

You can wear costumes during Disney Halloween time starting in Sept (extra cost of course).

A group of Stormtroopers (501st) went to Universal Studios for pictures. We were at City Walk for 2 hours before security asked us to move along. We created a huge traffic jam and no one could move. They cited fire hazards, not copyrights. Security took a few pics with us before we left.

These are kids dressed in character costume. The Disney park sells kid’s character costumes.

They are obviously big fans and probably spent $1000s on their dream vacation, so I sympathize with them.

They make that clear at the Halloween events and other times. I recall a lady dressed as snow white not long ago who was turned away. Can you imagine if some creepy person dressed up as a Disney character and fooled the other guests into thinking the person was a cast member? It could be bad!
