I’m not of a conspiratorial nature, but looking back at the 2008 campaign, one has to wonder if McLame wasn’t deliberately chosen to hand Obama the Presidency.

He basically lay down and handed the election to the Anointed One. Sarah Palin must have actually thought he wanted to win, because she was all gung-ho about campaigning, while he actually just gave up on certain states and didn’t want to be bothered.

He even spent more time trying to defend Obama from conservative “attacks” than he did defending conservatives who were foolish enough to try to support him.

A lot of books could be written about how textbook-awful he was as a candidate, but they won’t be.

And FR IS slow.

Makes a lot of sense, especially in hindsight of how Sarah was completely tarnished, almost to purposely take out an up and coming CONSERVATIVE talent. McCain loses the election and goes back home to Arizona. Palin ends up having to resign as Governor and had her reputation tied to many falsehoods.
