I have no interest in Romney’s mormanism at this early point, because he strikes me as a nominal morman. He’s a “bishop” because he is ambitious, not because he is sincere about his sect, and it’s useful for a resume enhancer. Just like his politics, he’s ambitious for power & privilege, having nothing to do with a sincere affection for traditional Republicanism or conservativism. Like Santorum, Romney flipped a coin to decide which party had an opening and took it. Unfortunately, we got him, but he belongs with Democrats.

Rita, you may repeat all you want you “think” Romney is a nominal mormon, he is not a nominal mormon in any sense.
He holds a temple recommendation (TR), only 15% or so of mormons make it to that high level.
There actually is nothing in Romney’s liberalism that is contrary to his mormonism.
Romney’s family has been in the hierarchy of mormonism since its foundation and he quite frequently refers to believing in and supporting the faith of his fathers.
