I agree 100% AZ has it’s own problems with libs etc. And I too hope we can overcome the problems. But my comments, unlikely as they are to ever see fruition, are not flip.
Honestly, put your love of the good things about CA aside and ponder this. You are outnumbered by an insurmountable margin by an increasing, not decreasing lib/illegal population. AZ still has the majority, though it too is shrinking.
We have influence in our state gov where cali conservatives/repubs do not.
Your laws are getting ever more restrictive. We are making slow progress toward less regs/laws.
Greens own the pols of cali as do the homosexual lobby and every special interest there is...growing worse by the week. AZ has been able to slow/even halt their progress.
Of course this could go on for pages, byt I think you’d agree this is true. I hope so anyway. So, that being the case, do you see a path to fix cali? With every trend of import against you (the conservatives?)
It’s lost. That’s not flip. that’s observation supported by factual evidence. No one ‘wants’ to throw any part of America to the dogs, but Cali is already there. We lost it through our own negligence, but lost it regardless. Can we get it back? Not until there is a 180 shift in everything. And that’s not any more likely than my ‘wall it off’ idea...of which I’m far from the first to propose.
You had better hope that California survives, because it is the canary in the coal mine. If this country turns it’s back on California, it can kiss it’s own ass goodbye. We are the economic engine that drives the country. We are still the ninth largest economy in the world. We are the nation’s breadbasket as well. AZ doesn’t even register against those stats. The country would likely survive with a failed AZ, but not a failed CA. Those the facts of the matter.
