The march is in Salt Lake City, which votes democrat and comprises only a small part of the metro area, and probably has only a minority of voters that are LDS.

The LDS church has been criticized for being anti-gay, recently surrounding the Prop.8 measure in California.

Which is why this story shocks me. Something is not right here. If the Mormons fought so hard for Prop. 8 why would they turn around and do this?
