Bruce Harris lost the fight of his life Thursday, and it wasnt his fault, not even one bit. It was painful to watch because he is so clearly a decent man and a gentle soul, caught between larger political actors who played him as an expendable pawn in their never-ending game of chess.
Yet there he was, taking one blow after another as Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee built a rock-solid case against his nomination to the state Supreme Court during a five-hour hearing.

We are not an ultra-conservative state, and we will not have an ultra-conservative court, Sweeney said."
So are a middle of the road state & Menendez & Lautenberg are not far left wing extremists?

Bork- Bork-Bork.
A Black homo? There was no one else in NJ Crispy Creme could have picked?
And the NJ Dems considered him a possibly Ultra-Conservative nominee?

That's not a very good choice of words by the Newser that wrote the article.
Harris is black, and he is queer. That proves that New Jersey RATs are racist homophobes!
Another uppity black, who dared to leave the Democrat reservation. Don’t get me wrong, this guy should never have been nominated by a Republican governor. But he is the exact kind of guy who the Dems would have supported had he been a registered Democrat. When it comes to support for the minorities the Dems claim to represent, they insist that these folks stay in their proper place.
If DemocRATS hold the Senate and Obama is defeated, look for this on a national level.
