A passenger plane has crashed into a two-story building in the Nigerian city of Lagos. The Nigerian Civial Aviation Authority has confirmed there are no survivors.
Thick clouds of black smoke can be seen at the site of the crash. Emergency services have been dispatched to the location. The head of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority said the Dana Air flight was heading to Lagos from the capital Abuja.
Local residents have reportedly witnessed bodies burning at the crash site. Officials of the Lagos Fire Service and other rescue workers are evacuating residents of nearby houses.

A Dana Air MD-83, flight from Lagos to Abuja (Nigeria) with 153 people on board, lost height after takeoff from Lagos and crashed into a built up area at Ijua Ishaga and burst into flames. All occupants of the aircraft are feared dead.
Nigeria’s Civil Aviation Authority confirmed the aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff for Abuja.

Egypt Air is a member of Star Alliance which means it meets first world standards although it may not have been when you flew it.
Egyptair is a perfectly good airline.
am I the first to suspect the hand of the religon of peace here?

That may be true today (I have *no* way of knowing either way) but I flew them in 1980.That flight was *beyond* horrible in every way imaginable.
