My son brought a note home from his teacher, “Robert would of done better if he would of studied harder.” The principal called me and said that my reply to the teacher made her cry.

What was your reply and did you send the note back redlined?
The most recent thing I saw that jarred me was “mam” as in “Yes Mam, I will do that at 2pm.”
My assistant now knows better, although I did not make her cry. :-)
