Thanks for recommending a book.

I am a religious conservative who believes that if the globe warms or cools, it isn’t our fault and there isn’t much we can do about it. I believe we have domi ion over the earth, plants, other animals.

Of course I believe we are ENTRUSTED by Gd to be caring and considerate of nature, but not to worship it. To use its bounty but not to destroy it needlessly.

In today’s cities where we don’t grow or kill our own food, we have to decide what foods we buy are healthiest and best. I appreciate your point of view as having worked in the biz but just because something costs more and sells for more doesn’t mean it isn’t better.

I have not said it isn't better. I have said that there is no nutritional benefit inherent in so-called organically grown food. Studies have shown that it is the same as conventionally grown produce.

In addition, the washing of the fruit in the packing process takes away any residual pesticide that may be left over after the efficacy has worn off.

The packing water is usually treated with chlorine which dissipates very quickly. Recently, there has been a movement to treat the water used in the packing process with ozone. Ozone kill all bacteria and viruses inherently on the surface of the fruit. Also, because of the food safety requirements, the water used is frequently tested for these diseases.

I can go on if you wish.

I appreciate your point of view as having worked in the biz but just because something costs more and sells for more doesn't mean it isn't better.
