Well, I’ve been screwed by a change in the definition of a no hitter since I went to the White Sox - Yankees Game in 1990 where the Sox won 4-0 without getting a hit.

Yes, it’s odd that a pitcher can pitch a “no hitter” and still lose the game. That wasn’t the case in the Cards, Mets game though. The Cardinals got smashed 8-0.

In high school, I struck out 4 batters in one inning and thought that was odd.
