Not that it meant anything, it didn't. But thanks for your input anyway.
If you think we should all just support the entire tea-party slate of candidates, without regard for who is the most conservative, fine. But just come out and say so.
If you are a Texan, and you value the opinion of Alaska Governor Palin, SC Senator DeMint, and Romney-endorsing ex- Vice-Presidential candidate Santorum over your own judgement, and over the reality that Lt. Gov. Dewhurst is a proven conservative while Cruz is not proven, has no voting record, has never held elective office, etc., but you support him because he’s the tea-party guy, well, ok, but just admit it!
The fact that the Houston Chronicle and the Austin-American Statesman are salivating over the possibility that Lt. Gov. Dewhurst might be upset by Cruz should give you a clue.
The important part of the Chronicle article that is being overlooked in this thread is when Gov. Perry is quoted as saying “Theres a whole lot of people who dont intimately and expertly know how Texas operates that have come in and endorsed in this race, and with all due respect I respect each one of those individuals, but they dont know anything about how Texas works, said Perry... And if they did, they would be endorsing David Dewhurst.
Unfortunately, the tea-party has just mistakenly endorsed the the less conservative person in this race.
