You should be worrying about the US as well. Remember, it was Republicans driving the SOPA legislation, legislation that would allow private companies to get websites shut down if they posted links they didn't like. Under SOPA it would be incredibly easy to get a site like FR shut down.

This is going on all over the world. Even as the internet has allowed us to communicate in ways that aren't controlled by the government or the media companies, both the government and the media companies are fighting back to restrict what we can say and do.
