Back then they lied to get into war.
Sure, they did. But not this guy. What caused the problem? —
“Internicola admitted to one discrepancy in records. He says he was born in 1921, though he said his drivers’ license indicates 1919. The reason: In his youth he wanted to start driving early so “I bent the truth a little bit.”
This guy was *not* removed from the voter rolls. He was asked to explain the age discrepancy — a discrepancy caused by his lie, all because he couldn’t wait, like the rest of us did, until it was lawful for him to drive a car.
And then *he* has the nerve to complain about Florida officials who are trying to clean up an ugly mess so that dead and illegal voters no longer cancel out our votes, votes that other war veterans fought and died to protect.
Don’t worry about. He’ll be dead soon. He’s well over 90 now and served his country in a time of war.
So feel free to justify your denigration of this veteran instead of just apologizing like a man.
