The widow of President Ronald Reagan says she is firmly behind Romney. And she says that her "Ronnie" would have liked Romney's business background and what she calls his "strong principles."
In a statement issued after the Romneys' visit, Mrs. Reagan said she believes that Romney has the experience and leadership skills that, in her words, "our country so desperately needs."

You claim to know more accurately what Ronald Reagan would have done, than his wife of over 50 years?!
How much time has Mrs Reagan spent with Romney to come to that conclusion.
50 Minutes if that?
edit:
How much time has Mrs Reagan spent with Romney to come to her conclusion that her husband would have approved of Wombat?
50 Minutes if that?
Actually, there are (sadly), MANY here on FR who want to see Obama get a second term. Many have said that if Obama wins again, the GOP would SURELY nominate their perfect conservative in 2016, even though that person does not exist.
It breaks my heart.
"I don't believe in abortion. On the other hand, I believe in a woman's choice. That puts me somewhere in the middle, but I don't know what to call that." -- Nancy Reagan, 1994.
Nobody said she was weak-minded! Here's my take...well...umm...let me call my personal astrologer and I'll get back to you shortly.
Disgusting. Why can’t she not say anything....Mitt is a complete liberal and her husband would be embarrassed at how low the Republican party has gone.
Of course she's a conservative. A "pro-choice" conservative. Favors embryonic stem cell research. Consults an astrologer. What does a person have to do to prove it -- marry Ronald Reagan?

You lie.
What has become of freepers? Can you argue using reason and facts, or are you just emitting intracranial gas?
I do not engage Romney supporters but may make an exception for a courteous and reasonable presentation.
They need to time these releases better. Friday release? In a down news cycle, or one where Obama already looks bad because of the unemployment figures released today? My gosh. Sit on these people. Time ‘em.

YOU are the one who is not only ignorant but obnoxious and wrong. Typical Obama voter...
Typical Mitt-hater jihadi. You tell psychotic, slanderous lies about others and then complain about the tone of the forum.
Typical Obama voter...
Yes Ms. 2009...I am sure that I am a Obama Voter....sure. You are lowering yourself to vote for a Liberal. I am voting for a true conservative. So now who is the wacky left? You!!! Vote Virgil Goode 2012.
Hi Meg! I’m with you!
I have had several great-aunts — all highly educated — live into their late 90s. My grandmother is still alive, although she is in her late 90s and not doing so well anymore. Anyway, all of these women were in full possession of their faculties at least until 95/96.
One aunt even lived alone and did everything but drive. And continued to be bilingual and write papers and so on. So, I don’t know Mrs. Reagan but I would definitely not call 91 “elderly” or “incapacitated” or anything.
