My eyes are tearing up as I long for the good old days when George W Bush was in The White House. For a brief moment leadership, Christian values, and character returned to The White House today. Along with a true first lady. Unfortunately it was only for the official unveiling of George W and the true first lady Laura's portrait.

Loved W’s portrait. From what I could see, I wish Laura’s had her smiling. She is beautiful either way, but she can light up a room when she smiles!

I am biting my tongue, trying really hard not to make comparisons and contrasts which would be interpreted as political.
So I'll just ask a neutral question : Does anyone know if it is possible to get suitable for framing copies of that presidential portrait?
Or all presidential portraits, for that matter. I have never before felt the need to have any at home, but I do this time.
With all his imperfections, my President.

I noted that Obama referred, not to “President Bush”, but to “George”. Still keepin’ it classy, I see...

What a great ceremony. The Bush humor is wonderful and reflective of just one side of him - I loved the line “What would George do?”
There were several decisions made during George’s tenure that I didn’t agree with but their presence today reminded me of things that I miss from when they were in the White House. Life was not about them and there was a sense of respect, dignity, appropriateness and orderliness. I do believe that George W and Laura truly recognized, cared about, understood and appreciated Americans first. Such a gracious couple.

Get a grip. GWB’s last two years in office are why we have obama in the first place.

This isn’t what they were wearing in the White House today, Laura had on a blue dress...
At least at the Press conference.
So when was this photo?

So far all the photos have a reflection so we can’t see the portrait. That’s intentional, and petty.

Those aren't the official portraits, either.
Here are some photos (none by Reuters, yet) from today's event.
