“Mr. Dutton, a military veteran, has been preparing for the economic collapse of the world. In addition to gathering a large supply of non-perishable items, he also has a modest collection of firearms and ammunition.”
And this is a violation of what law??
Hell, the government stockpiles all kinds of crap—when are they going to be arrested??

I teach my grandkids: "How many people does it take to keep a secret?"
Answer: "One. Any more than that, it isn't a secret any more."

“The only source of information for the storage unit search warrant came from Joe Scott, Mr. Duttons ex-wifes boyfriend. Mr. Scott often came to Mr. Duttons apartment to pick up Mr. Duttons daughter for her visitation. During these visits, Mr. Dutton and Mr. Scott discussed firearms, fireworks, and other explosives.”
In the military, he’d have been guilty of Stupid on Station. Who the hell shares that kind of info with the current squeeze of your ex-wife who’s picking up YOUR daughter (whole ‘nother tirade ready THERE) for visitation?
Facepalm, please?

Security thru obscurity is necessary, but not sufficient. Don't do stupid illegal things, if only because people tend to find out.

Reminds me of a joke I heard over twenty years ago:
Contents of a post collapse survival kit: A pistol, ammo, and a sheet of paper with the addresses of all the local mormons.

Not the sharpest tack in the nail box, this idiot "prepper.' I can also say (and have said) the same about all other "attention whores" who chose to be on national TV and reveal all about their "preps."
No amount of "preparations" will save them if they have no brains or common sense.
