With 'Lord on their side,' Romney and Republicans may very well prevail

) Now that Mitt Romney has officially secured enough delegates with his Texas primary victory to clinch the Republican nomination, Mormons seem like a block of voters the Republicans can count on come November. This isn't just because Mr. Romney is Mormon.

It's because the Republican Party is now securing support from voters of every major religion in the United States, with the exception of Islam.

For nearly three decades Christian Evangelicals have tended to be reliably Republican. (Today, 70 percent of white evangelical Protestants support the GOP.) But now Mormons, Jews, and Catholics are getting on board with the party in increasing numbers. If the GOP is able to consolidate the support of the major religions in the US, Romney and other Republican candidates stand to win big at the polling booth in 2012 and well beyond.

Certainly, voters of a certain religion don't always vote as a bloc, and recent trends indicate that some young Evangelicals are rejecting the "partisan pulpit" and embracing traditionally liberal or Democratic values. But these religious groupings have had historic party allegiances that played out on election day as confirmed by the Pew Research Center Survey in 2009 following the 2008 presidential election.

Religious leaders and their congregations have to decide whether they want the separation of Church and State (Republican) Party, or the “we will control your doctrine” (Democrat) Party in charge.

I think the content of this article is unsubstantiated tripe! People are confused enough about who they are without injecting spiritual beliefs into the matter. Witness the fact that Obama was elected in the first place and his presumptive replacement’s essential distiction is that’s he’s not overtly, anti-capitalist!

But thank God we have some very solid Jewish conservative pundits Mark Levin Dennis Prager and a few other

There are Jews at the forefront of everything, good or bad.

This has long been noted.

I wish I thought that the conservative, free-market Jews had more influence on America than the collectivist, big-government Jews do but that is not what I see.

Maybe there could be a specific movement by pro-liberty Jews to convert the pro-collectivism ones? That would be cool!

According to the exit polls, last election Barack Obama won 47% of white Catholics. He only won 34% of white Protestants.

There has long been a collectivist movement disguising itself as Catholicism.

It is time for Catholics to recognize that "liberation theology" is neither.

Socialistic collectivism cannot coexist with individual Godly morality.

Embrace the welfare state and you will wind up having abortion and gay marriage forced on you, just as night follows day.

I think that religious affiliation doesn’t matter that much when it comes to voting.

It absolutely does, Jews have NEVER voted republican in our history, Protestants have only voted democrat 3 times (1932,1936,1964) and Catholics have only voted republican five times, (only voting against a dem incumbent once, 1980), and we all know how Evangelicals vote.

It clearly means a lot.

Why would the Lord choose to be on Romney or Obama’s side? They are both against Him and have committed or condoned acts that are against Him.

One thing I know, if you stand on God’s side, you never have to worry about whether He is on your side or not. I’ll continue to stand on God’s side while both Romney and Obama stand elsewhere.

Instead of worrying whether the Lord is on HIS side (incredible arrogance), Romney better worry about getting on the Lord’s side, instead. He could start by leaving the Mormon cult, and repenting of his support for sodomites and for the unborn children that are dying in MA, even today, thanks to him.

fine...

I apologize for the “GD” statement...

But that’s all the the only thing you’ll get from me.

Romney is a socialist. You’ll come to understand that sooner or later.

The words I choose to use are based upon the message I intend to get across and my audience AND whether or not I care what the intended audience thinks about what Im telling them.

Your being idiots... Therefore the harsher language. Im not in the business of coddling and being civil to people who are self destructing... And taking me with them... heh... Contempt is what I fell and contempt is what I intended to get across.
