Every time I hear Obama say “We can't go back to the policies that got us into this mess in the first place” I want to ask him “Exactly what policies”? Nobody ever asks him and I have never heard him specify, in his opinion, what got us into this mess and what has he done to correct it. Anybody know?

That’s because Bush was following liberal policies, like easy lending for low income homebuyers. Bush’s liberalism ran us into the ditch, so Obama can’t get too specific in criticism policies he, as a liberal like Bush, supported.
