Yep. As a Southerner I felt like I was in a foreign country when I lived in Boston for a few years.

Hey,maybe you found it tough to find grits up here but what did you think of our clam chowder? Much better than that stuff you get in Manhattan,eh!

Oh gosh, the chowder, grinders, regular coffees and the pastries at “the market”, I gained 15 pounds easily! There was a little Italian vendor near my apartment. He was always giving me free food. Fantastic!

BTW, don’t knock the grits, but we do enjoy some of the best seafood and Southern cuisine in the world. Key lime pie? Fugetaboutit! I’m hungry...
