Mitt’s going to stand up to the Jackass Party bullies?!?

This is a strange move for Mitt, as the GOPe would simply rather cave and call a kumbaya with the Democrats.

But maybe something has pressed one of Mitt’s hidden buttons.

Good on Mitt if he means it and doesn’t waffle away in a couple of months.

With Newt and Trump hanging close by, Myth can finally see what testosterone looks and sounds like and can maybe try and imitate it.

Trump could not care less whether he is “liked”, or not, he will call it as he sees it no matter who likes it.

Newt has always been fearless and in your face with what he believes. (Crushing blow for the country that he isn’t the presidential contender.)

Goofy Myth knows these things. Whether he can learn and apply it 24/7 is, however, highly doubtful. He’s more used to his wife ungluing his foot from his mouth, and running his show, while he stands by and smiles....glowingly.

Mitt does not know the words to Kumbaya? This is indeed strange. He will be getting a call from the caveman McCain.

We all have our reasons to dislike Mitt, but I really find myself disliking him a lot less these days.

He’s a weaselly flip-flopping sunsabyotch sometimes, but also thoughtful, disciplined and smart. He’s not playing the game the way the media expected him to. He’s spent a long time doing serious skullwork on probable lines of attack and crafting careful defenses and counters to them. And it’s working well.

One thing that has occurred to me just now, is that they are going to have a very hard time playing the “stupid” card against Mitt — as they have against every Republican nominee and President since Reagan.

Again, I don’t like him yet. I may never like him. But I have to give grudging admiration to his political fighting instincts.

This could turn out to be a very interesting campaign.

Look, I despise mitt... I am on record here about this... but... Levin played audio of some of the gop/e leaders today... those in the House and Senate... and they (including lindsey graham, cornyn, issakson etc) all said that they would INCREASE TAXES as part of a “drop trou and take another one from the rat party” mega deal on high taxes and lower spending. You know... just like the one tipp o'neill screwed Reagan over with!

mitt said he was not going to raise taxes and that he was going to cut government spending. orin hatch stated that he would refuse any tax increases and that the problem was spending by an uncontrollable Federal government. The so called TEA Party candidate running against orin hatch had his campaign spokesman state today that he was “not a TEA Party candidate” and that he was interested in a grand deal that included “revenue enhancements” as well as some cuts in spending. I see now why Mark and Sarah have endorsed orin hatch.

You want to know how screwed up the gop is? orin hatch and mitt romney are the most conservative members that have the balls to make a public statement today... against this grand compromise with stalin and marx. How anyone can defend the gop is beyond reason. This is the same crap they said 20 years ago... 10 years ago... 5 years ago... and they are exempt from all of the pain they are causing us. The rat party is 70% responsible for America's downfall... but 30% of the blame belongs to these criminals that call themselves republican leaders.

Romney went to Philly and was roundly dissed but he still stated that the problems in black America stem largely from the fact that there are only 3 of 10 babies born in wedlock.

That was impressive and I hope he does it again in every major city.

Mitt has made a savvy move on manipulating how he is perceived, by declining to diss Trump. This is about PR, not about politics. Romney is the same guy he's always been. You want to know a Romney future, look at his past.

What's frightening is that the media and Right punditry's self-imposed blackout on exposing the statism of Romney's record from a conservative point of view, is as harsh as the MSM's blackout on Obama's background. That's pretty worrisome.

Right now, it's all about Obama. If Romney wins, Obama would be forgotten six months in 2013. At that time ABO would be dust of history. The GOP is asking me to vote for a guy whose entire political record is of advancing the very big-government Daddy State morally corrupt authoritarian values I vote Republican to oppose. For heaven's sake, acknowledge Romney's record and roots!

THAT is all that would matter in 2013. Common sense is the best judge of life, and it tells me voting for Romney is as nuts as voting for Obama.

The way I see it, it's coming down to three options: voting for arsenic, voting for cyanide, or voting to dilute whichever poison wins.
