Judging by behavior of some races, some heads may be getting smaller.

You'd be amazed by the number of pinheads I see in *my* neck of the woods.All races,creeds and genders.

Me too and I’m female. My hat size is the largest standard men’s size. Hard for me to find that perfect pink baseball hat with my favorite team logo.

Same here. Remember when they used to sat "Fits All" on hats? Now that has been changed to "Fits Most." Does me no good, I wear a size eight.

Assuming you meant actual small sized craniums...yeah, I see lots of people with tiny skulls in all colors.

I’m reminded of a scene in the movie “Repo Men”, starring Jude Law and Forest Whitaker. Jude is put into a machine to test his ability to withstand high G forces. He passes with flying colors. The guy running the test on him says “congratulations, you have a very large skull and a very small brain”.

When I was in the Navy, my ship’s XO’s nickname was “pinhead” or Papa Hotel.

I never heard that, but I guess it makes sense, since their skulls probably grow for a longer time after they are born.

Actually I was thinking of pinheads that you identify not with a tape measure but with your ears.

Better nutrition has no doubt contributed to the larger heads HOWEVER the article never mentioned that Americans are generally larger than Americans of a century ago.

Actually, the article says:
"Skull height has increased 6.8 percent since the late 1800s, while body height has increased 5.6 percent and femur length has only increased about 2 percent."

My hat size has gotten larger since I signed up on Free Republic in August of 2000.

I read the article and stand by what I wrote: the article did not specfically say that Americans are larger now than
a century ago.
