Temple Israel in Miami, Fla., canceled an upcoming speech by Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz on Thursday. Temple officials canceled the affair after a prominent Republican donor left the congregation in protest. According to Erika Bolstad of McClatchy Newspapers, the donor was 81-year-old philanthropist Stanley Tate, who has ties to the Romney campaign.

Wow, Washerwoman-Shulz had to find her conscience--must be an election year.
Good for Mr. Tate. If they are going to have a Democrat speak, then they should have a Republican speak. And Mr. Tate is also correct, any godless politician should not step foot in the Temple's sanctuary--the auditorium is the appropriate forum.

Money talks and Wasserman walks. LMAO
Interesting development.
“she was quick to point out that Former President Bush had allowed Castro to visit the United States three times during his two terms in office.”
I’d be curious to know if these were really “U.S. visits” as such, or if they were really visits to the UN, which diplomatically is a very different thing.
If the latter, she is really lying by omission.
As I recall, Debbie bullied the congregation into withdrawing an invitation to a conservative, something the story conveniently leaves out.
One conservative big macher does not a conservative group make!
FP, the three visits were UN visits, so yes, she is being what she has always been, a distorter of the truth.
I agree with you on all points. It would seem a religious sanctuary is a place for God, not politicians of ANY flavor.
Also, Tate should have been allowed to present an alternative view to Wasserman-Schultz.
But I do agree with her about the Castro Klan.
Is that the same person as Debbie “Blabbermouth” Schultz? (Rush’s most recent nickname for her.)
Good point. At least one was to the UN... I remember the uproar. I'll bet she's lying - typical democrat. Too bad the MSM won't notice - or if they do they'll print an excuse for her...
Yay!
If it were not for lies and deceit along with foolsn that are willing to be lied to and deceived, there would be no Democrat Party.
Funny thing, most of the Conservative Jews I know are pretty liberal. The Orthodox are usually more conservative. And the Reformed, God Bless them, are pretty radical!
It's not been very often that a Jewish organization, especially a Reform (?) one, hasn't acquiesced to the wishes of a powerful Jewish Democrat. Hopefully, this is a signal of a rejection of the leftist Obama policies within the Jewish community and will be a portent of a significant movement of the Jewish vote in Florida (and other battleground states); toward the GOP in November.
UN visits they were
>>Although she chose to break with Obama over the decision, she was quick to point out that Former President Bush had allowed Castro to visit the United States three times during his two terms in office.
Another DemoLie. Bush granted nothing. Castro was invited to the UN by the bloody communist thugs there. Bush had no power to stop it.
right on!!!! bro let her suffer the slings and arrows
Yay. Now Reform, you don’t want to be behind the curve, do you? The Reconstructionists might beat you to the punch, and then you’ll really look bad.
