Barack Obama has insulted 38 million Poles with his crass and ignorant 'Polish death camp' remark

President Obama has a long track record of insulting the Poles. In 2010 he chose to play golf on the day of the funeral of the Polish President Lech Kaczynski, the Polish First Lady, and 94 senior officials who perished in the Smolensk air disaster.

Eight months earlier he humiliated Warsaw by pulling out of the agreement over Third Site missile defence installations in Poland and the Czech Republic.

And last night Barack Obama caused huge offence in Poland by referring to a Nazi death camp in Poland as “a Polish death camp” while awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom to a Polish resistance fighter. As ABC’s Jake Tapper reported:

Poles and Polish-Americans expressed outrage today at President Obama’s reference earlier to “a Polish death camp” — as opposed to a Nazi death camp in German-occupied Poland.

“The White House will apologize for this outrageous error,” Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski tweeted. Sikorski said that Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk “will make a statement in the morning. It’s a pity that this important ceremony was upstaged by ignorance and incompetence.”

Poland is a good friend of America.

These kinds of gaffs pare a perpetual and very embarrassing reminder that he basically ‘mouths’ stuff when he speaks and his speech writers and handlers are as incredibly uninformed and poorly educated as he is himself.

Sorry to say, this is typical of whole generations of younger people who leave school with out the least concept of history or America's involvement in world events from the moment of our beginning as a nation to the present!

My first thoughts were that this gaffe was the fault of the person who wrote the information up for the teleprompter. But my thought was sarcasm. Now, I see the president's spokesmen really don't think it's odd that Obama was unclear as to who was in charge of the death camps, the victims (Poles and Jews predominately in Poland) or the Nazis. In Obama's mind, who is to say what's right and what's wrong, after all.

It's sad and pathetic when you're as ignorant as Obama is. Apparently, he didn't get much US and Western history taught to him in his formative years. Then, when he hit Hawaii after living much of his youth in Indonesia, he was on dope most of the time with his so-called choom (pot head) gang of buddies. He went to college, we are told, but we cannot see his grades. We know that most Universities are less interested in a coherent, organized, truthful view of history than in making sure the student accept the Manichean worldview that pits the haves against the have nots and with the illiberal Liberal academics to play the role of the vanguard of the poor. Knowledge plays no real role in the type of education Obama had; it was the duty of the writer of the teleprompter to keep Obama from saying something egregiously wrong. That writer failed. Being the smartest man ever elected president, as Liberal Presidential historian Michael Beschloss assured the world, means it cannot be that Obama is too stupid to know who inflicted the injustices in Poland, how many states the US has, how to pronounce the word "corp" for corp man, or that the US doesn't owe the whole world an apology. It's not his fault he's stupid.

President Obama awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Tuesday to Dolores Huerta, an 82-year-old labor activist and co-founder of the United Farm Workers union.

Huerta is also an honorary chair of the Democratic Socialists of America.

DSA describes itself as “the largest socialist organization in the United States, and the principal U.S. affiliate of the Socialist International.”

Huerta has claimed, “Republicans hate Latinos,” and has spoken fondly of Hugo Chavez’s despotic regime in Venezuela.
