Actually, Romney responded to the Trump comments yesterday, in a thread posted here, and basically repudiated what Trump said. Romney said that Obama was born in Hawaii.
Now the media is lying about what Romney said. Obama has evidently instructed them to demand that Romney should throw Trump under the bus and not allow him to campaign for him.
I disagree. What Romney said did not “repudiate” Trump. Not even close, IMO. Romney only expressed a polite disagreement between friends.
I would expect Romney to distance himself from controversy and send an attack dog (Trump) to stir up a situation. When things get uncomfortable, he will throw Trump under the bus. It’s his m.o. and sadly part of politics.
I don’t believe for one red hot second that Myth didn’t know what Trump would say. And, conversely, I don’t think Trump is an unwilling hand maiden.
It’s all part of the show. But, of course, I am a huge cynic. ;)
That is OK, they are also lying about the Halfrican’s birth in Kenya being debunked. If they lie about that, why not other things too?
The slimy Dems love to drive wedges...To split up Republicans and try to get Republicans to denounce each other. If Romney has any brains he won't fall for this. He should start calling out reporters (his inquisitors) and accuse them of getting marching orders from the DNC
Romney will do the typical wiffle waffling. If Trump continues to be “useful” he’ll dance around the issue.
Just like McCain, any vetting of the President is something Romney won’t take part in. A lot of good that did us in 2008.
The media is well aware that it will do nothing but hurt Romney to take up the birther conversation. They are not crediting him with saying President Obama was born in the United States because they know it will hurt him to say otherwise. And I am not a Romney fan. But I do credit him with this.
So Romney refuses to repudiate Obamas claim that he was born in Kenya, and insists Obama was born in Hawaii.
