I have no idea here he made his delivery, but this is big time pot distribution. Armstrong served only 7 years of a 23 year sentence, which itself should have been life without parole.

Leo Burt - the only one not apprehended and prosecuted, needs to be found and given an effective life sentence.

Armstrong, 65, was one of three men arrested for their roles in the Aug. 24, 1970, bombing that targeted the Army Math Research Center in Sterling Hall on the UW-Madison campus as a protest of Vietnam War. A fourth man wanted in the case, Leo Burt, has never been found. Researcher Robert Fassnacht was killed in the blast. Armstrong was sentenced to 23 years in prison, but his term was later reduced, and he was released in January 1980 after serving seven years.

i’m confused

did they pull over the motor home because there was $800k in it? how did they know?

what was the probable cause that led to the search?

was it that he was a convicted bomber, now out of prison legally? if so, then that is no cause to search the mobile home.

the claim of drug trafficking came after finding the money. no drugs were found, yet they were able to look for more money. convenient.

sounds an awful lot like legalized plundering of an individuals wealth to me

The guy gets stopped for a driving violation. He knows he has $800k in the vehicle. He eventually lets the cop search it, maybe hoping the guy is stupid. He’s not, and he finds the cash. They arrest Armstrong and say the money smells like weed.

What was the crime? Having a lot of smelly money? There certainly is more to this story than was reported.

After writing Armstrong a warning for a traffic violation, he asked whether Armstrong had any drugs, guns or large amounts of cash, and Armstrong answered no.

Bad move. Now they can charge him with lying to an officer and make the whole search and seizure legal. The only words spoken to a cop should be "I decline to make a statement, officer" or something to that effect. There's a very educational video on Youtube on that topic.
