I have tinnitus as well - not receiving disability for it but that may change. I am receiving disability for PTSD and Prostate Cancer - Agent Orange, of course - 60% combined.

Had a Hell of time with my ap - applied online in May, 2009. When I finally followed up with VA they couldn't identify my claim - I filed the hard copy with them and finally got assigned to the Regional Office in Baltimore, MD. From then, it was still over 6 months before they called me in for examination.

Nos genuflectitur ad non princeps sed Princeps Pacem!

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

My I suggest you use a VSO? Going to court with out an attorney is foolhardy. And in essence, when you go up against the VA, you are in an adversarial situation. They (VA) will deny that of course.

And one must pick and choose their VSO carefully. It is not a one size fits all thingy. Word of mouth. Phone calls/emails, etc. Local veterans boards online. It is worth the trouble, upfront.
