First off I won’t watch the Monte Carlo, the Indy or the 600 live, all are recording so I can hop the commercials.

But this year I noticed absolutely no Indy coverage on ESPN or SPEED channels, years before they would show the previous races every night culminating just before race day, I loved watching the early 80’s races.

And then ABC had nothing about the quals or carb day, zilch.

Is indy becoming a lost Great American Pastime?

Is their something behind the scenes to belittle the Indy 500?

espn classic has shown 90% of the races from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s & 2000’s all week as they did last year...

I thought I saw some lead up coverage on ESPN but didn’t watch. And yes, Indy, and a lot of other racing is another piece of America lost.

One interesting thing I did notice was bicycle racing coverage this year! I usually follow the TdF, but this year there were several races on my cable including the Tour de California.

More PC I guess!
