I know what you mean.
Here in Maine, it’s worse. There are few churches, most are liberal or milquetoast, not worth attending.
Not an easily accessible Missouri Synod to be found.
Returned now from church and feeling a little guilty about dissing my church (a bit).
We had a wonderful service (we always do). I love the ritual and the beautiful Episcopal services.
Mtr. G preached an excellent sermon about Pentecost. She remarked that it is the only Christian holiday the world hasn’t taken over. Nobody goes out to buy a Pentecost dinner ham, or Pentecost cards or presents. So true.
So she says it’s the church’s holiday all to ourselves.!!
Nobody else wants it.
We also had a sweet baptism and some good music (for a change).
