Florida Voting Purge a Thorny Legal Issue Ahead of Primary
By William Browning | Yahoo! Contributor Network 23 hrs ago
Several civil rights groups sent a letter to Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner on Thursday outlining their objections to the proposed removal of names on a list of registered voters. WFSU reports that up to 180,000 potentially ineligible voters will be scrutinized as they are cross-referenced in other state databases and a federal one. The groups threatened legal action if the process continues.
* Victor Dimaio believes the targets of the purge are minority groups. "The majority of the people being kicked off the ballots are primarily Hispanic and minorities and African Americans," Dimaio said, according to WFSU.
* The letter was signed by representatives of six groups. Project Vote, Fair Elections Legal Network, Advancement Project, League of United Latin American Citizens, Latino Justice and the Hillsborough Hispanic Coalition all objected to Detzner's actions this close to the Aug. 14 primary election.

“It was common knowledge back in the 1940s and earlier that every year, Democrats would go to the insane asylums and homes for the severely retarded, to register them and vote them, often by holding their hand to help them draw an X for their signature. Then they would hit the cemeteries and vote people who had died decades before.”
They are still doing it. I saw it with my own eyes in 2006. The polling place was at an old-folks home with a bunch of Alzheimer’s patients. The community organizer was wheeling Alzheimer’s patients up to the voting booth and voting for them. I was called in by a poll watcher to handle it.
I shut it down but it took a while. When she left, the community organizer was screaming at me. Quite a scene. I had gathered evidence and put it to the Republican attorney general in the state. No prosecution. Probably because the organizer was Hispanic and the party didn’t want to go there.
I’m always concernned about absentee ballots
Amen, brother. Capital crime for anyone who engages in soliciting, recruiting, directing or covering up vote fraud. At least a year in jail for anyone casting a ballot under false pretenses.
Next time, get video and YouTube it. That kind of prosecution would put the fear in 'em.
It’s strange the MSM doesn’t wonder about that - just why is it that LIBERAL groups want the dead to vote? What are they hiding? What ARE they AFRAID OF?
