It could be that military voters are similar to other voters in that some of them don’t see the big picture. They see the wars winding down, and that is good because troops get to go home—a relatively personal, shallow point of view, although we all wish them safely home.
They miss seeing the harm of defense cuts to our national security, which is more abstract.
How they can miss the endangerment to our troops by the blowing of our intelligence networks for campaigning purposes and the murderous changes to the rules of engagement is beyond me. That’s not as abstract.
