Mitt is Kicking Butt Out There

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Mitt Romney yesterday on his website and his YouTube channel (he has a YouTube channel) released a new ad entitled, "Day One, Part 2." Romney's staying on message. There's one thing... I probably, in the near future, need to spend a little bit more time in this. But you know, everybody's talking about Obama and his daily events and so forth. But Romney is kicking butt out there, and Romney is staying on message, and Romney is rapid-firing back. And this is part and parcel of what has them a little bit discombobulated.

So here is a Romney ad staying on message Day One, Part 2.

ANNOUNCER: What would a Romney presidency be like? Day one: President Romney announces deficit reductions, ending the Obama era of big government, helping secure our kids' futures. President Romney stands up to China on trade and demands they play by the rules. President Romney begins repealing job-killing regulations that are costing the economy billions. That's what a Romney presidency will be like.

ROMNEY: I'm Mitt Romney, and I approve this message.

Day One

RUSH: Now on CNN's Starting Point this morning, Christine Romans, the fill-in host, talked to Debbie "Blabbermouth" Schultz, who runs the Democrat National Committee. By the way, do you know Debbie "Blabbermouth" Schultz was scheduled to appear and make a speech after services at a Miami temple, a Jewish temple? And a member of the temple, a man by the name of Tate stood up and said (paraphrased), "I'm outta here. If you bring her in here to make some concocted political speech on Friday night, I'm outta here. I mean, I'm out!"

So they canceled her. A Miami temple canceled the appearance by Debbie "Blabbermouth" Schultz. When was the last time you heard of that happening? Normally that's the kind of stuff that happens to us. One of us is scheduled to go someplace, the left protests it, and whoever was scheduled to host it shuts it down. Debbie "Blabbermouth" Schultz was disinvited or uninvited, and this Tate guy... I forget his first name. Stanley? I'm not sure. Anyway, he persevered.

And this temple is very close to her district. It's in Miami but it's very close to her district. Anyway, she was on CNN's Starting Point this morning and Christine Romans said, "I want to start with this attack on Romney and Bain Capital. A lot of people, Debbie, are seeing this as an attempt to disqualify Romney in battleground states, so the lunch-bucket Democrats have somebody to blame for their factories closing. The White House said this is their big strategy: Go after Bain; go after Romney. Will it play in those battleground states, and if it doesn't, what's Plan B?"

Day One, Part Two

SCHULTZ: It's not strategy! What it is is that Mitt Romney has made his record at Bain Capital his experience in the private sector -- which is almost exclusively at Bain Capital -- the central premise to American voters, uh, that ... that they should elect him president. There are thousands of workers who he laid off, uh, companies that they deliberately forced into bankruptcies, and Mitt Romney and his partners run -- made hundreds of millions of dollars.

RUSH: "Deliberately forced into bankruptcy."

So they're doubling down on Bain.

Whether it's working or not, they are going to double down on Bain.

And Romney's ads are entirely positive. And, by the way, remember all these calls against negative ads? "Gotta stop all the negative ads!" Well, Romney's out there running positive ads, and the media is still dissing his ads. The media is still ripping Romney's ads. The media is still criticizing Romney for his ads even though they're the essence of positive. So Debbie "Blabbermouth" Schultz says there basically is no Plan B. "We're going after Bain, we're going after Romney, and nothing gonna change." So Christine Romans says, "Well, why is it not hypocrisy for the president to take campaign donations from private equity when he's attacking private equity, making that an essential part of his campaign?"

SCHULTZ: Accepting a contribution from a particular person involved in venture capital and criticizing Mitt Romney -- who has made his record as a venture capitalist at Bain the central focus of his credibility and his qualification for being president -- are completely different things! So Mitt Romney, in the way that he ran Bain Capital -- the companies that he deliberately drove into bankruptcy, the creditors that he left with less than pennies on the dollar in return, and the thousands and thousands of people who he left on the unemployment lines while making hundreds of millions of dollars of -- in profits for himself and his partners -- is an appropriate examination for a man who is saying that this is the reason we should elect him president.

Who contributes to Barack Obama --

RUSH: Stop it! I feel like I'm I listening to Hillary. I can't stand it. It's nothing but... It's just poppycock. It's just lies. It's all lies. It's all absurd. I tell you what I'm gonna do. When we come back at the top of the hour, we'll do Marc Thiessen. Washington Post headline: "Forget Bain -- Obama's Public-Equity Record is the Real Scandal." And it's a list of all and every one of Obama's abject failures -- bailing out companies, green energy sector -- using your money. Romney used his own. Obama is using your money, taxpayer money is got a dismal record.

You talk about bankruptcies and people losing their jobs?

Obama's the king of destroying companies!

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: The fact of the matter is Bain Capital was trying to keep these companies out of bankruptcy, and they were asked in to save these companies. These were not takeovers. This woman doesn't have the slightest idea what she's talking about.

Well -- I would see no other reason that Mitt all of a sudden said, that pace Massachusetts, he doesn't want "gay marriage" once Barack and the Dumbkopf came out of the closet for it. Yes, a classic Mitt flip flop, and yes one that is in the right direction. And many signs are that a weak conservative presence in Congress is firming up this fall. If Mitt goes along to get along, his more liberal stuff will find itself starved for sponsors on Capitol Hill. There certainly is no reason to expect unseemly scenes like where Barack Obama stumped for Obamacare.

Just like the Chicago machine.

The Michigan Republican Party (MRP) Credentials Committee voted 4-2 last night to give Mitt Romney both of the state's at-large delegates, State Policy Committee Chair Mike Cox told MIRS today.

Cox was one of two "no" votes on the committee which met via telephone, along with attorney Eric Doster The "yes" votes included GOP National Committeeman Saul Anuzis, a Romney supporter, and MRP Chair Bobby Schostak.

That would put the delegate split at 16 for Romney and 14 for Rick Santorum, after each candidate won 14 delegates apiece in those divided by Michigan's 14 congressional districts.

As MIRS first reported on Wednesday, the MRP was delaying a final decision on the delegate split until after consulting with attorneys.

Cox said that according to the MRP rules, Santorum and Romney should each get one of Michigan's two at-large delegates based on their take of the popular vote.

"I supported Mitt, but the vote was clearly wrong," Cox said of the Credentials Committee. "It's kind of like Third World voting. We published rules and then we voted to change the rules."

Because The Narrative Cannot Survive A Rewrite

If they behave like democrats, they get treated like democrats.

When the Convention Chairman, Brooks Patterson, came out to announce the outcome, he introduced Saul Anuzis as the next podium speaker, and I felt immediate disappointment, which was short lived...Anuzis then introduces Dave Agema as the new RNC Committeeman, and the room exploded in the loudest, most prolonged ovation and demonstration of the day....We had made our presence felt in a significant way, and the confirmed election on Terry Lynn Land as Committeewoman was almost an afterthought...We had successfully replaced both representatives from Michigan to the National Committee, our message to the State powerbrokers could not be more clearly stated...."Your time is up, it's our turn!"...

We won!!!

“Do you really think conservatives are going to have any clout?”

United States Senator

District Party Candidate Votes
Statewide (D&R) Democratic Joe Donnelly 207715
Republican Richard G. Lugar 261285
Richard E. Mourdock 400321

Why do you think his people—and others, granted, who like myself abhor Obama—are here on FR browbeating conservatives 24/7? (Or trying to.)
Your point is a good one. But we’re buying, not selling.

Romney has shown recently his willingness to deal with the enemy: “Hey, we won’t rock the boat about Kenya, and you leave Rubio alone ... “ so we’re kinda hoping he will consider dealing with the conservative members of his (clearing throat, excuse me) own party.
So he’s got five months to close the sale. If not, too bad.
And those of you who say, “Well why don’t you go ahead and vote for Obama?” You all can blow me
a kiss. Why would we vote for Dr. Evil if we won’t vote for Mini-me? I mean, stop and think about it.
We shouldn’t sell ourselves so soon and cheaply. There are gravely important issues hanging fire here: Life; the Bill of Rights; our national sovereignty; our economy. The only way Mitt can lose will be if he’s found in bed between now and November with a live girl or a dead boy.
Mitt will either listen or he won’t and he will either learn or he won’t.

So what have we done here in flyover Indiana? We gave Obama’s favorite superannuated Republican his pink slip. We got clout. Don’t forget it.

casting the question that way unconsciously is how we have people worried that their souls might be damned for checking the box by the Mormon’s name. I say nonsense to such a worry.

I'm not among them and have never voiced a concern about mormons. Mitt just happens to be a lying liberal bottom feeding piece of trash and we all know it.

we will NOT survive 4 more years of Obama.

Being stuck with Mitt as our option makes me ill. But I agree with you. With Obama I believe that we are going to be faced with a police state rivaling East Germany. Or, if people decide to resist before it is too late, there will be a civil war.

Sadly, I would give 25% chance of Mitt doing the right thing as the very best case.

We need to be thinking about our current situation on two fronts. Getting rid of Obama and planning for survival because the crash is still coming regardless.

“What have you done?”

Well, let’s see.

I worked in Michigan government on the local level for 20 years.

During that time, we elected a constitutional sheriff in the county three times.

We ran two crappy, asshole police chiefs out of town via the VFW.

We sent five rats to prison for two to five years.

We held 12 recall elections and threw 10 rats out of office.

We indicted two liberal thieves at the local university and threw them in federal prison for five years.

We tracked down an eco-fascist who tried to bomb the university forestry station and sent him to prison for 5 to 10.

We elected a hawkeye sheriff who blew out the brains of a criminal - at 200 yards - who took a bank teller hostage.

Happy you asked, buddy.

That’s a pretty impressive track record. Are you sure you want to taint it by supporting a socialist?

LOL! not a bad retort.

I’ll direct my question to you: What’s your plan to remove Buckwheat and the mercenary Secret Service traitors from the Whitehouse?

I’m listening to any and all plots, ideas and plans.

Nobody has yet answered my question, and we’re at post #89. Will you be the first?

I don't have a plan. My concern was stated in post 51. I have real concerns about a Republican Congress voting in favor of stuff proposed by Romney that they would never vote for if proposed by Obama.

I guess, I am hoping for a four year stalemate.

Irrelevant question to the problem at hand. Mitt and his evil minions have utterly destroyed any Conservative opposition, starting in mid-Sep 2008. He hasn't stopped.

The GOP-e, Rove, FOX, etal have guaranteed that the GOP is running a hard-core Statist.

The end-game with Mitt or Obama is exactly the same. It's only a matter of a timing difference.

Liberty and our Constitution has already lost in the upcoming farce of an election.

Mitt will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to change the end-game. I will do a write-in and vote Conservative down the ticket.

To vote for Mitt is to support his Statist, anti-Liberty beliefs. Mitt seeks the office for one reason -- to please his ego. Mitt will NEVER get my vote.

The reality is no one has a plan to expedite Obama’s political demise.
Mitt is it and that is reality
although some of these people are too busy foaming at the mouth to admit it.

Utopia is a long way off and politics aint pretty but thats the way it is....
The mouth foaming has solved nada
