The follow-up question, not asked or answered, of course, should have been “would you be willing to pay 20-50% more for everything with no corresponding increase in salary (if you would have one, with most remaining industries leaving the US), accept significant limits to your freedom and movement, and otherwise deal with the significant degradation of your quality of life for it?”
That’s right, and as soon as anyone deals with the slightest cost or inconvenience, “climate change” falls off everybody’s list of top 1,000 concerns.
