Prayers up for Doc.
I went to the Newport Folk Festival in 65, then
Vietman took up the next two or three years.
Bummed around after that as a traveling dulcimore
player, Atlanta, New Orleans,West Coast.
Ended up in Seattle apprentice to a dulcimore
maker but then discovered blacksmithing and had to
choose, the smithing was hard on the hands but
I was really better at it than music.
Doc was a comfort and joy for many a mile.
As Jack Palance once said,
“ Growing old ain’t for sissies”.
